Paper Cuts

I started making paper cuts during the pandemic, in December 2020. I like the immediacy of paper cutting and the focus it requires.

Process: each composition is an arrangement of individual elements taken from a variety of sources. I like to draw after my own photos but also borrow from others'.

Tools and Materials: my cutting tool is an X-Acto knife. the papers are premium construction paper and Japanese rice paper, assembled using brushes and paste.
